How Did This Project Come to Us?:
The Board of Directors for Winter Park Ranch Water and Sanitation District saw an opportunity to support their home river and worked with Colorado Water Trust to explore their options.
Tools Used:
Instream Flow (ISF) Water Acquisition – Temporary ISF Lease (This short term lease utilizes some of the Winter Park Ranch Water and Sanitation District’s water rights to supplement streamflows in St. Louis Creek and the Fraser River in times of need.)

Colorado Water Conservation Board, Winter Park Ranch Water and Sanitation District, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Bishop-Brogden Associates Inc (Project Consultant)
Project Years:
A 10-year approval for the lease was approved in 2013, but has yet to be used.
