Thank you to our fabulous photo contest judges:

Megan Begley

Megan is a former professional photographer who studied Commercial Photography and Digital Imaging and specialized in weddings, portraits, and events for 10 years. She hung up her professional camera many years ago and moved into the nonprofit sector, including working at Colorado Water Trust for five years. She now works as Grants Manager at There With Care, a Boulder-based nonprofit.

Tom Kingsford

Tom has spent a lifetime exploring wild places—from the shores of Hawaii to the peaks of Europe—and over 20 years as a self-taught photographer, capturing it all through his lens. His signature style blends big, bold landscapes with colorful skies and striking detail, bringing the beauty of nature home in every shot.

Christy Sanchez

Christy Sanchez is a headshot photographer based in Denver who enjoys spending time along Colorado’s rivers birding, fishing, camping, and floating, and usually has her camera along for the ride! She’s honored to help judge this year’s photo contest.

Roo Smith

Roo is an Emmy-nominated adventure filmmaker and photographer based in Boulder. His work often focuses on stories at the intersection of the outdoors and environmental justice. When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll probably find him trail running, river surfing, or songwriting in his bright yellow van.
