Emma Fredricks – Communications Fellow

Hi Everyone,

I am happy to share that after continuing to extend my stay as a Water Trust intern for almost 9 months, they have finally caved and hired me as the new Communications Fellow! Fresh off of an Environmental Studies degree from CU and previous experience working for organizations like The Nature Conservancy and Amigos de las Américas, I am thrilled to take this next step into an organization I care so much about.

As I’m sure many of you are aware, the Water Trust has both an incredible mission, to restore flows to Colorado’s rivers, and a team that is inspiring and hard working. It is a genuine honor to consider myself a member of this staff and I look forward to stepping up to meet the high bar that has been set by each and every one of them. Additionally, as someone passionate about climate change resilience and collaborative solutions, an opportunity to do just that is something I’m truly appreciative of.

Our lovely staff

In this new position, I will be continuing on with our social media and events outreach, and will also be taking on some new projects and responsibilities including our newsletter, blogs, programs outreach, and website development. I look forward to connecting even further with the wonderful community that supports this organization throughout my time here – especially as we transition into more opportunities for in-person events. Please get in touch with any questions or information you’d like to share with the Trust and look out for my face at upcoming events!

Cheers to this next step in our Water Trust journey, cheers to our hardworking rivers, and cheers to this welcoming community.
