Mogl (October 27, 2025)—At Mogl, we believe great companies leave communities better than they found them. That’s the heart of Mogl Impact, our nonprofit arm built to pay it forward by channeling our skills, resources, and reach into meaningful support for organizations doing incredible work.
Recently, we had the pleasure of partnering with the Colorado Water Trust (CWT), a remarkable organization whose mission is to restore water to Colorado rivers. Since 2001, CWT has restored an astounding 26.7 billion gallons of water to 800 miles of rivers and streams across the state. We’re thrilled to share the story and success of our recent collaboration!
Diving Deep into Water Rights
To truly understand CWT’s mission, we brought their experts right to our Denver HQ for a Lunch & Learn. Dana Hatlelid (Deputy Director) and Andrea Bonato Gach (Staff Attorney) joined us (and our remote employees!) to explain the behind-the-scenes of CWT’s work, including the complex legal framework of Water Rights in the state. The team was fascinated, learning just how much tireless work goes on behind the scenes to keep our rivers full and plentiful.

Campaign Success: Driving Awareness for CWT
For CWT, who often works with fixed, fundraising-dependent budgets, allocating funds for marketing isn’t always possible. This partnership marked the first time they ran programmatic advertising, and that’s where Mogl Impact stepped in, donating pro bono campaign support to amplify their mission.
Our Goal: Drive awareness, reach, and new users to the Colorado Water Trust website.
We used both display and Online Video (OLV) campaigns, targeting key audiences like:
- Charitable Donors
- Environmental Conscious Citizens
- Outdoor Enthusiasts
- Young Professionals
Key stats:
- Coloradans Reached: 594,362
- Total Impressions: 1,374,377
- Website Conversions: 458
- Cost Per Website Visit (CPA): $3.49
Thanks to the campaign, we helped CWT reach nearly 600,000 Coloradans who would not have seen their mission otherwise. Our most cost-effective audience was Charitable Donors, with a Cost Per Website Visit of just $3.09 – proving that connecting with the right audience makes all the difference.
Hands-On Impact at Riverbank
Our commitment didn’t stop at the keyboard! The Mogl team put our Volunteerism pillar into action by heading out to CWT’s annual Riverbank event – their largest fundraiser of the year.
Over 200 people attended to celebrate partnerships and raise funds for water restoration. Our team helped run the check-in, managed games, and supported the silent auction. It was an inspiring night where we got to see the incredible water community come together and witness the live bidding in the final auction – all in support of keeping Colorado’s rivers flowing.
